Commercialization of religion is nothing new. In the past, numerous protests have arisen over what some have termed the disrespectful or even blasphemous portrayal of Hindu deities on consumer items. And www.cafepress.com recently reignited that debate on the invasion of Hindus’ sentiment.
An obscenity and blasphemy case has been registered here against six people for putting up a pictorial exhibition on Adam and Eve here in which the actors in the photograph were in a state of nudity. Police named three artists, a photographer, a prominent art curator and a sixth person as suspects in the case, local news reports said Friday.
